Among the many workholding solutions designed to reduce set up time, this Fixture Pro™ vise features a low profile to provide extended work area above the vise (increased Z travel). The design and manufacture maintains the same strength characteristics of the company's larger vises ensuring stability, repeatability and long service life. This high-quality vise offers a wide jaw width and is available with standard mounting as well as the company's modular Drop & Lock™ version for five-axis and multi-axis applications ensuring both accuracy and quick change-over time. To support customer needs, Jergens' Value Added Solutions Team (VAST) offers application expertise and provides custom solutions using either standard or custom tooling.

March 2009—Cleveland, Ohio—Jergens, Inc., one of the world’s largest manufacturers of standard tooling components, vises, and other workholding equipment, announces the addition of a Zero Point Clamping System to its already broad line of Quick Change fixturing solutions. The Jergens Zero Point System (ZPS) combines ease of alignment, high-accuracy positioning, and high clamping forces with the ease of hydraulic or pneumatic actuation. Jergens will offer individual modules, complete systems and plates, as well as design and technical assistance.
