Jergens Ball Lock® Mounting System Gets Two New Additions at IMTS 2018

Monday, September 10, 2018, Chicago IL – Jergens Inc. announces fixture plate machining kits and new receiver bushing plugs for its popular line of Ball Lock® quick-change mounting systems. The fixture plate machining kits consist of extra-long Ball Lock® shanks and spacers permitting the fixture plate to be installed on a subplate with clearance between the two. This clearance allows cutting tools to ‘break through’ the fixture plate without damaging the subplate, making it possible to machine fixture plates while mounted to the same subplates they will be used with during production.

Five-Axis Quick Change System Elevates the Work

Five-axis machining centers are expensive compared to three axis machines. For shops to get value out of these machines, it's particularly important to be efficient in the ways work is set up.
